Kathleen Eich

Kathleen Eich has been an educator for 38 years.  After teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing for twenty years, she transitioned to the role of educational consultant in the Capital Area Intermediate Unit. In this role she supported teachers and administrators in the areas of reading and literacy, effective instructional practices, data analysis as well as topics related to state initiatives.

As an educational consultant, Kathleen worked with teachers and administrators individually and as part of school improvement teams. She acted as a coach to public and private schools in a three-county region in central Pennsylvania as they implemented Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.

In her role as Coach Mentor, Kathleen supported more than fifty coaches in fourteen school districts through network meetings and professional learning sessions. As part of her work, Kathleen visited coaches in their school sites to provide job-embedded professional development by “coaching the coach”.

Kathleen is an experienced staff developer who always focuses on the learning of the educators in each session. She incorporates activities designed to engage audiences while ensuring deep learning of content and practices grounded in research.
